We digitize film at the highest technical level, both for commercial productions, archives and private customers.

Technically we rely on the top class: We operate two ARRISCAN XT incl. wetgate option and a DFT SCANITY HDR incl. Sondor light-sound unit. We digitize 35mm incl. VistaVision, 16mm, 9.5mm and Super8 / 8mm film. 

On request, we can digitize extremely shrunken material with a converted Nellson Hordell Oxberry with up to 6K.

The Scanity is an extremely fast high-end motion picture scanner for 35 & 16mm, designed for 4K scan once / 4K dailies workflows, which thanks to its high speed has become the de facto industry standard in the high-end sector.

Our machine is fully equipped with all additional options including Sondor light-sound unit and additional 8mm gate.

ARRI ARRISCAN XT

R16, S16, 35MM incl. wetgate and archive options

We were the first service provider worldwide to put the ARRISCAN XT into operation in 2018 and have since doubled our capacity with a second ARRISCAN XT including wetgate option. Our scanners are equipped with all gates and archive options.

The Arriscan XT, successor to the ARRISCAN Classic, is slower than the Scanity, but offers significantly more setting options in terms of image geometry and offers the option of scanning up to 6K resolution at 16 & 35mm.

Particularly worth mentioning is the possibility of optimally utilizing the scan area by frame-specific positioning of the optics in relation to the film, for example to scan N16mm in DCI 4k with an internal image dimension of 4096 pixels without "wasting" resolution in the unexposed Super16 area.

SCANITY HDR

Primarily for new productions with the most urgent timings, we can digitize with the SCANITY HDR 4K 16 BIT in Hollywood High End quality in almost real time. The SCANITY is the only high-end motion picture scanner that is realistically fast enough for a 4K scan once workflow.

The Scanity's phenomenal oversampling rate is particularly worth mentioning: every scan line is recorded in real time without any sensor noise or other artifacts thanks to 30-fold oversampling!

With the built-in SONDOR sound unit, we can also digitize light and magnetic sounds in parallel with the image.

SUPER 8

For Super8 / 8mm & 9.5mm we use the scanners of our long-standing partner Kornmanufaktur.

The ability to scan films edge to edge is particularly noteworthy. 

High end without compromise

Not all film scans are the same - and technology is only half the battle: Our highly specialized film technicians and scanning operators have the necessary experience to scan film in the quality you expect.

We digitize film for new productions at a high-end level and implement the most sophisticated ACES requirements. For international projects, we are in close contact with other top-class industry partners such as Company3 in London and L.A.

We handle archive materials in accordance with the requirements of the DIN SPEC 15587 and digitize them according to the high demands of our satisfied customers.
